Petra Oil’s Oxidized Bitumen 85/25 is a premium-grade, air-blown bitumen developed for applications that require a strong balance of rigidity and moderate flexibility. With a softening point of 85°C and a penetration value of 25 dmm at 25°C, Bitumen 85/25 is engineered to deliver outstanding thermal resistance and reliable performance in demanding industrial and construction settings.

 

This grade is produced through a carefully controlled oxidation process that modifies the physical properties of straight-run bitumen. The result is a semi-rigid, weather-resistant material that resists deformation under load and temperature fluctuations. Bitumen 85/25 is widely used in waterproofing membranes, pipe coatings, joint fillers, and roofing applications where durability and environmental protection are key requirements. Conforming to ASTM D36 and ASTM D5 standards, Bitumen 85/25 provides consistent quality and dependable behavior during processing and long-term use.
