Petra Oil’s Oxidized Bitumen 150/5 is a high-performance, semi-solid bitumen product produced through a controlled air-blowing process, enhancing its softening point and reducing its penetration. Designed for industrial applications that demand high-temperature resistance, rigidity, and low temperature-sensitivity, Bitumen 150/5 is widely used in waterproofing, pipe coating, roofing, and various specialized construction needs.

 

This grade, identified by its penetration value of 5 (0.1 mm at 25°C) and a softening point of approximately 150°C, offers a very hard consistency and excellent thermal stability. It remains stable under load, exposure to heat, and aging, making it a preferred choice for applications that experience sustained high temperatures or pressure. Unlike conventional penetration grade bitumen, Oxidized Bitumen 150/5 does not become soft or tacky in warm conditions, nor does it become brittle in the cold.
