Polymer Modified Bitumen
Elastomeric Thermoplastic-Based – Grade E70
Grade E-70 by Petra Oil is a durable and versatile Elastomeric Thermoplastic Modified Bitumen, tailored for high flexibility and moderate-to-high thermal performance. With a softening point of 70°C, E-70 is ideal for roads and infrastructure that require enhanced resistance to fatigue, minor cracking, and moderate climatic variation.
E-70 combines elasticity with durability, offering a binder that can expand and contract with seasonal temperature shifts without breaking down. This makes it ideal for city roads, regional highways, and municipal projects that experience regular traffic flow with occasional heavy loading. It is a reliable solution for improving surface life and reducing long-term maintenance costs.
Key Specifications:
- Type: Elastomeric Thermoplastic Based Modified Bitumen
- Softening Point: 70°C
- Standard Compliance: IS 15462:2019
- Use Range: Moderate climate, mixed traffic conditions
Main Applications of Grade E-70:
- State & Regional Roads: Withstands varying traffic stress while preventing early-stage surface failure.
- Urban Arterial Roads: Reduces cracking and rutting in areas with traffic lights and stop-start movement.
- Commercial Zones: Performs well in areas with light industrial or commercial vehicle movement.
Benefits of Grade E-70:
- Superior fatigue and crack resistance
- Flexible under thermal expansion and contraction
- Reduces early maintenance costs for municipal roads
- Ideal balance between performance and cost
- Enhances service life compared to conventional bitumen
