Polymer Modified Bitumen
PMB 50/90-55
Petra Oil’s PMB 50/90-55 is a premium polymer-modified bitumen designed for extreme performance in high-load traffic zones and structural infrastructure like bridges and airport runways. Its high softening point ensures it remains stable in extreme temperatures, offering outstanding thermal and oxidative resistance.
Key Specifications:
- Penetration Grade: 50/90
- Softening Point: 55°C
- Standard Compliance: IS 15462:2019
- Type: Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB)
Main Applications of PMB 50/90-55:
- High-Traffic Roads and Highways: Perfect for high-traffic highways that experience heavy truck loads and high temperatures. PMB 50/90-55 offers excellent deformation resistance, ensuring long-term road performance.
- Bridges and Elevated Structures: Used on bridge decks, overpasses, and other elevated structures to prevent cracking due to thermal stresses.
- Airport Runways and Taxiways: The ideal solution for airport runways that must handle extreme temperature variations and heavy aircraft traffic, maintaining its structural integrity.
- Urban Infrastructure: Provides long-lasting roads in industrial zones, urban streets, and high-traffic areas.
Benefits of PMB 50/90-55:
- Superior cracking resistance in high-temperature environments.
- Increased flexibility and elasticity, enhancing road performance.
- Reduced repair and maintenance costs with long-term durability.
