Performance Grades
Bitumen PG 70-22
Petra Oil’s PG 70-22 is a premium-grade asphalt binder designed to perform reliably in regions with extreme temperature fluctuations—from very high summer heat to harsh winter cold. Engineered in accordance with Superpave performance grading specifications, PG 70-22 offers enhanced durability by combining excellent rutting resistance at elevated pavement temperatures (up to 70°C) with exceptional flexibility at very low temperatures down to -22°C.
This binder is specifically tailored for critical pavement infrastructure exposed to both heavy traffic loads and severe seasonal climates. With superior resistance to thermal cracking and deformation, PG 70-22 ensures long-lasting pavement performance across a wide range of environmental and traffic conditions.
Produced to meet and exceed AASHTO M320 standards, PG 70-22 provides exceptional consistency and stability across production batches. It is ideal for demanding road construction projects where maintaining structural integrity and surface quality is essential year-round.
Key Specifications of PG 70-22:
• Performance Grade: PG 70-22
• High-Temperature Grade: 70°C
• Low-Temperature Grade: -22°C
• Standard Compliance: AASHTO M320
• Type: Superpave Performance Grade Asphalt Binder
Main Applications of PG 70-22:
• Mountain and Cold-Climate Highways: Perfect for areas with significant freeze-thaw cycles and intense summer heat.
• Urban and Rural Roadways: Resists damage from variable traffic patterns and thermal stress.
• Heavy-Duty Pavements: Suitable for industrial zones, freight corridors, and other high-load traffic routes.
Key Benefits of PG 70-22:
• Extreme Climate Resilience: Designed to handle wide temperature ranges without compromising binder performance.
• Outstanding Rutting and Cracking Resistance: Maintains shape and strength under both heavy loads and cold conditions.
• Extended Pavement Life: Reduces the frequency of maintenance and rehabilitation.
• Consistent, High-Quality Formulation: Reliable performance across projects with strict quality controls.
