EN Standard – Bitumen 30/45
Penetration grade bitumen 30/45 is a semi-hard grade bitumen mostly used in hot mix asphalt, road construction and asphalt pavements. The penetration range of bitumen 30/45 is between 30 to 45 tenths of a millimetre. Penetration grade bitumen 30/45 is suitable for various regions due to its thermoelastic property that makes bitumen soften in high temperatures and harder in low temperatures. Bitumen 30/45 is ideally used in warmer climates as it has a lower penetration value that works against high temperatures and protects from deformation and cracking.
